Exciting New Leadership at RFK Community Alliance
Tue Feb 11 2025

At RFK Community Alliance, we are thrilled to announce the addition of two exceptional leaders who will help guide our mission: Dana Green, who has joined us as Senior Vice President of Organizational Advancement, and Dr. Kathy Mills, who returns to us as Interim Chief Operating Officer.
Dana Green: Senior Vice President of Organizational Advancement
Dana Green brings over 20 years of experience in development, communications, and nonprofit leadership to RFK Community Alliance. Most recently, she served as the National Director of Advancement at Democracy House, where she established their development program and played a key role in their growth. Dana’s extensive background includes leadership roles at notable organizations such as Hearth, Inc., Mystic Seaport Museum, and The USS Constitution Museum.
Her passion for mission-driven work is matched only by her warmth and engagement with the people around her. Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard University. She is also deeply involved in her community, having served as Vice Chair of the Commissioning Committees for the USS Thomas Hudner and the USS Nantucket, as well as on her local library’s revitalization committee and the SEPAC of her daughter’s school district.
Dana’s diverse experience, along with her intellect and leadership style, will be instrumental in furthering our organizational growth and impact as we continue to advocate for and empower the children and families we serve.
Kathy Mills, PhD, LICSW: Interim Chief Operating Officer
We are equally excited to welcome back Dr. Kathy Mills as our Interim Chief Operating Officer. Kathy is no stranger to RFK Community Alliance, having previously served as Vice President of Innovation and Learning. In her prior role, she spearheaded key initiatives, including the development of our Theory of Change and the launch of our first DEI staff survey. She also oversaw Performance and Quality Improvement, Training, and Organizational Advancement, ensuring a culture of growth, curiosity, and excellence. Kathy has over 30 years of experience in human services, and her expertise will be invaluable as she helps lead the agency during this transitional period.
A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Kathy has dedicated her career to supporting children and families, particularly those impacted by family violence. She has worked with organizations such as Jewish Family & Children’s Service, the Massachusetts Children’s Trust, and Futures Without Violence, making significant contributions to early childhood mental health and systemic change. Kathy’s leadership style emphasizes strategic thinking, a deep understanding of our programs, and a commitment to fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Kathy holds a PhD in Social Policy from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, an MSW from Simmons College School of Social Work, and a BA in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.
Please join us in celebrating Dana and Kathy in their new roles! We look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
