Meet Keith Carroll, RFK Community Alliance’s New Board Chair
Wed Nov 19 2025

We’re pleased to introduce Keith Carroll as RFK Community Alliance’s new Chair of the Board of Trustees.
From a Bike Ride to Board Service
Keith’s journey with our organization began in the early 2000-s, when then colleague, Michael Connolly, invited him to ride in the Rodman Ride for Kids on behalf of RFK Children’s Action Corps (now RFK Community Alliance). From there, Keith was inspired to learn more about the young people and families we serve.
He was especially moved by children who, through no fault of their own, found themselves in difficult situations. The chance to help level the playing field and give them opportunities to develop and thrive resonated deeply. In 2006, Keith joined the Board of RFK Children’s Action Corps, and a decade later he served as Board Chair from 2016–2018.
Why RFKCA’s Mission Matters
For Keith, RFK Community Alliance’s mission connects directly to a saying he returns to often: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. He is keenly aware of the role that opportunity and people willing to open doors have played in his own life. That sense of gratitude fuels his desire to help create similar chances for others through RFK Community Alliance.
Keith’s father spent much of his childhood at the Boys & Girls Club in Bridgeport, Connecticut—a place that offered safety, structure, and caring adults at a critical time in his life. In his role on the Board, Keith regularly hears from program leaders about the work happening across RFK Community Alliance, and he recognizes that same kind of support: a safe place to land, chances to build confidence, and adults who show up for children, teens, adults, and families. He knows our programs can change the trajectory of a person’s life.
Professional Expertise, Human-Centered Leadership
Outside of RFK Community Alliance, Keith is a trial attorney and co-chair of Holland & Knight’s Sports Industry Team, based in Boston. He has represented companies, senior leaders, and major sports leagues and teams in complex matters—experience that translates into thoughtful leadership on our Board, where he is known for asking good questions, weighing information carefully, and keeping people at the center of decisions.
Priorities for the Board in the Year Ahead
Keith’s priority for the Board this coming year is to foster a close, collaborative working relationship between the full Board, Dr. Kathy Mills, President & CEO, and executive leaders so that, together, we can deliver on our mission. He also intends to ensure that the Board receives education on the breadth and impact of our programs so they are well equipped to make important decisions and help the agency strengthen existing donor relationships and build new ones.
A Glimpse Beyond the Boardroom
Keith and his wife, Jane, are raising four children: Janie (21, a senior at the University of Miami), Annie (19, a sophomore at Tulane University), Mary (16, a junior at Newton Country Day School), and William (14, a freshman at Needham High School). Their family also includes Winnie, the family’s eight-year-old golden retriever.
Welcoming Our Full Slate of Officers
We are also excited to share the full slate of officers elected by the Board at the November 12 Annual Meeting. Keith P. Carroll, Esq. of Holland & Knight will serve as Chair; Jennifer L. Flanagan, MS of Liberty Square Group will serve as Vice-Chair; Linda Williams, retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, will serve as Treasurer; and Donald A. Lowe, retired from the Town of Bolton, will serve as Secretary. Jim Geraghty of Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management will serve as Immediate Past Chair.
Together, this leadership team brings deep experience, steady guidance, and a shared commitment to ensuring RFK Community Alliance remains strong, responsive, and rooted in our mission. Please join us in congratulating Keith and our officers as they step into this next chapter of service.
